Birth is in general a very intense experience for the baby and the family (and in many cases causes certain degrees of trauma from mild, to moderate to severe). Birth leaves an imprint and is recorded as implicit memory. These implicit memories of our experiences at birth continue operating unconsciously later on in life and influence the way we perceive the world and ourselves.
During this talk we will discuss how to support babies explore their birth journeys somatically and as the parents tell the story of what happened during the birth facilitate creating a coherent narrative to help integrate the experience for babies and parents.

We will also discuss how to support children of all ages show their birth stories through movement and play, helping them bridge their experiences with the story of what happened during their births.
